The construction of the Regional Center of Excellence for Robotic Technology has started

The signing ceremony of the Contract for Construction Works marked the beginning of the construction works of the "Regional Center of Excellence for Robotic Technologies – CRTA" within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture. CRTA will become a center of excellence for research, development and education in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence, and is funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

Our team goes to KUKA Center for education

Our two team members, Josip Vidaković and Nikola Vitez are headed to the KUKA Education Centre in Augsburg to gain new knowledge about LBR robots within the next week. The training is carried out as part of the KUKA Innovation Award program, where five candidate teams have continuous support and advice to be as efficient as possible during the implementation phase.

Today at 1 PM, Filip Šuligoj defended his doctoral thesis titled "Spatial patient registration in robotic neurosurgery". Congratulations!

iRONNA team selected as one of the five finalists for the 2019 KUKA Innovation Award

Thirty research teams from all over the world have submitted concepts of innovative robot applications in health institutions, and one of the five selected finalists is the iRONNA team. For the implementation of their concepts, finalists will receive KUKA LBR Med certified medical robot and 3D Roboception vision system. The finalists will hold a presentation at the largest industrial fair in Germany, Hannover Messe, and the winner will receive a cash prize of 20,000€.

RONNA awarded with main prize in "Best Integration and Innovation" category

Zagreb Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, Clinical Hospital Dubrava and their joint project, RONNA G4 (fourth generation) medical robot were awarded yesterday with the main award in the Best integration and innovation category as part of the famous international Hamlyn symposium on medical robotics organized by Imperial College London.

Signed grant agreements – CRTA and ORCHID

The 17 grant agreements, which are part of a call for investments in state-of-the-art equipment and scientific infrastructure worth 1 billion HRK from EU funds, were signed on Monday, June 28th 2018 at the Ministry of Science and Education in Zagreb. NERO – Neurosurgical Robot research development project has started

On October 1st 2017, the NERO – Neurosurgical Robot research development project began. The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund from the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020. The total value of the project is 21 million HRK and will last for 48 months. NERO brings together a unique interdisciplinary team of more than 30 scientists and researchers from INETEC, FSB and Clinical Hospital Dubrava. The project manager is Inetec, led by dr. sc. Ante Bakić.

RONNA presented in Düsseldorf

At MEDICA, the largest medical technology exhibition in Europe - RONNA, a neurosurgical robot developed at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture at the University of Zagreb and Clinical Hospital Dubrava, was presented last week (November 13th-16th 2017) in Düsseldorf.
